About Anne Robertson

Hi, I’m Anne Robertson, a compassionate and experienced life coach with over 40 years of experience as a nurse specialising in neurodiversity, ADHD, Autism, mental health, and community health. I’m also a proud mother of three neurodiverse young adults who have successfully navigated their own paths toward independence and success. My diverse experience has given me a deep understanding of the challenges and strengths of neurodiverse individuals, as well as the tools to help you to live a full and fulfilling life. I understand the real-life challenges you face. My coaching is practical, down-to-earth, and tailored to what works for you.

Why work with me:-

I combine professional expertise with real-life experience. I’ve supported hundreds of individuals and families through the NHS and my coaching practice, but I also understand neurodiversity personally. That means I know what actually helps—not just in theory, but in real life.

Understanding Coaching

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative partnership between you/your family and me as your coach, where you will engage in a creative process aimed at nurturing your personal and if appropriate professional growth. I will create a supportive environment that motivates and encourages you to:

Focus on the present and future, rather than the past.

Develop self-awareness about your strengths, areas for development and motivations.

Gain insights that help you set actionable goals, maximise your potential, and facilitate positive behavioral changes.

Proactively enhance your skills through various techniques, including open-ended questions, exercises, and other methods.

The Role of me as your Coach

My primary responsibility is to listen, observe, reflect, and reframe your thoughts. By asking open-ended questions, I will help you concentrate on solutions and future possibilities, while also identifying obstacles that may be holding you back.

I will provide a dedicated space to cultivate your dreams and goals. I will help you to clarify your goals to ensure you achieve the outcomes you desire.

Whilst working with you/your family I may if wished include some educational elements related to you/your child’s needs.

What Coaching Is Not

Coaching is not a medical intervention or therapy.

I will not diagnose or treat physical or mental health conditions.

Instead of providing direct answers, I will encourage you to discover your own solutions. The focus is on facilitating your growth through inquiry rather than advice-giving, empowering you to take responsibility for your actions, as you are the best judge of what meets your needs

If you are facing mental or physical health challenges, I may encourage you to seek assistance from a qualified health professional.
